1. About us

This online store is operated by Remember The XIth CIC, a Community Interest Company incorporated in England and Wales (Company Number: 17067647). Our registered address is 12, Siskin Way, Kidderminster, Worcestershire DY10 4TD, United Kingdom.

When you place an order through store.rememberthexith.org, you are entering into a contract with Remember The XIth CIC. These Terms and Conditions govern that contract. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

2. Our purpose

Remember The XIth CIC is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company. Proceeds from store sales support our heritage education work and our public memorial project commemorating the 11th Parachute Battalion's role in Operation Market Garden, Arnhem, September 1944.

3. Placing an order

By placing an order you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • All information you provide during checkout is accurate and complete.
  • You are legally entitled to use the payment method you provide.

An order confirmation email does not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract between you and Remember The XIth CIC is formed only when we send a dispatch confirmation email.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices displayed on the store are in Pounds Sterling (GBP) unless otherwise stated. Prices include UK VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors before accepting an order.

Payment is processed securely via PayPal. We do not store your payment card details.

For orders shipped to the Netherlands by special arrangement, prices may be displayed or invoiced in Euros (EUR) using an indicative exchange rate. The final charge will be in GBP; any currency conversion is handled by your payment provider.

5. Product descriptions

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, images, and specifications are accurate. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings. If you receive a product that materially differs from its description, please contact us — your statutory rights are not affected.

6. Availability

All products are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after you have placed an order, we will notify you promptly and offer a full refund or, where possible, an alternative product of equivalent value.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website and on our products — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Remember The XIth CIC or is used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes without our written consent.

8. Your statutory rights

These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a UK consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. In particular, you have the right to return most goods within 14 days of receipt without giving a reason. Full details are set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or from any product purchased, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. Our liability is limited to the total value of your order.

10. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

Policy 2 of 3

Delivery Policy

Effective date: 2 April 2026  |  Remember The XIth CIC  |  store.rememberthexith.org

1. Where we deliver

We primarily ship to addresses within the United Kingdom. We are also able to ship to the Netherlands by special arrangement — please contact us before placing an order if you require delivery to a Netherlands address.

We do not currently offer shipping to other international destinations through our standard store checkout.

2. Dispatch times

We aim to dispatch all orders within 3–5 working days of receiving cleared payment. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.

During busy periods — such as anniversaries and commemorative events — dispatch times may be slightly longer. We will notify you if there is a significant delay.

3. UK delivery

UK orders are dispatched via Royal Mail. Estimated delivery times after dispatch are:

  • Royal Mail 2nd Class: 2–4 working days (standard orders)
  • Royal Mail 1st Class: 1–2 working days (selected items or on request)
  • Royal Mail Tracked 48 / Tracked 24: available for higher-value or larger orders

The shipping method used for your order will be confirmed in your dispatch email. Delivery estimates are provided by Royal Mail and are not guaranteed.

4. Netherlands delivery (special arrangement only)

Shipments to the Netherlands are sent via Royal Mail International Tracked or Parcelforce Worldwide. Please contact us before ordering so we can confirm availability, calculate a shipping quote, and issue a proforma invoice.

Estimated delivery to the Netherlands is 5–10 working days after dispatch, though this can vary.

Post-Brexit customs — Netherlands orders Shipments from the UK to the Netherlands are subject to UK export and EU import customs procedures. A commercial invoice will accompany your parcel. Import duties and VAT in the Netherlands are the responsibility of the recipient. Goods are shipped on DAP (Delivered at Place) terms.

5. Shipping costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and the weight of your order. The full shipping cost will be displayed before you complete payment.

For Netherlands orders arranged directly, shipping will be quoted separately and invoiced in advance.

6. Delivery address

Please ensure your delivery address is correct and complete at the time of ordering. We are unable to redirect parcels once dispatched. Remember The XIth CIC cannot accept liability for non-delivery caused by an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.

7. Missed deliveries and collection

If Royal Mail is unable to deliver your parcel, they will leave a notification card or attempt redelivery. Uncollected items are typically held at your local delivery office for 18 days before being returned to us. If a parcel is returned to us due to a failed or uncollected delivery, we will contact you to arrange reshipment (additional postage charges may apply) or a refund of the product cost only.

8. Lost or damaged items

If your order has not arrived within a reasonable time of the estimated delivery window, please contact us. For UK orders, Royal Mail considers a parcel lost after 10 working days for 1st Class and 15 working days for 2nd Class from the date of posting.

If your item arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging and the item and contact us within 14 days of receipt. We will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.

Policy 3 of 3

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective date 2 April 2026  |  Remember The XIth CIC  |  store.rememberthexith.org

Your statutory rights This policy is in addition to — and does not limit — your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. As a UK consumer purchasing goods online, you have the right to cancel most orders within 14 days of receiving them, without giving a reason.

1. Your right to cancel (cooling-off period)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of the day you (or a person you nominate) receive your goods. You do not need to give a reason.

To exercise this right, notify us before the 14-day period expires by:

Once you have notified us of your wish to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.

2. Returning goods

Returned items must be:

  • In their original condition, unused, and where applicable in their original packaging.
  • Sent to: Remember The XIth CIC, 12, Siskin Way, Kidderminster, Worcestershire DY10 4TD, United Kingdom.

You are responsible for the cost of return postage unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrectly sent. We strongly recommend using a tracked or signed-for service, as we cannot accept responsibility for returns lost in transit.

3. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process a full refund of the product price within 14 days. Refunds will be made to your original payment method via PayPal.

We will also refund the standard outbound delivery charge you paid. We are not required to refund any premium delivery upgrade you selected (e.g. 1st Class instead of 2nd Class).

We may reduce your refund to reflect any diminished value of the goods if they have been handled beyond what is necessary to assess their condition — for example, if items have been worn, washed, or damaged.

4. Faulty or incorrect items

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, please contact us within 30 days of receipt. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to a full refund, repair, or replacement. We will cover return postage costs for faulty or incorrectly sent items.

Please include a brief description of the fault and, where possible, a photograph when contacting us — this helps us resolve the matter quickly.

5. Cancelling before dispatch

If you wish to cancel your order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to stop the order before it ships. If we are able to cancel before dispatch, a full refund will be issued promptly. If the order has already been dispatched, your cancellation will be treated as a return under the 14-day cooling-off period above.

6. Exceptions — items that cannot be returned

The following are not eligible for return or refund under the cooling-off period (your rights in relation to faulty goods are not affected):

  • Items that have been personalised, customised, or made to order at your request.
  • Sealed items that have been opened where the seal is necessary for hygiene or health protection reasons.

If you are unsure whether an item is returnable, please contact us before purchasing.

7. Netherlands orders

For orders shipped to the Netherlands by special arrangement, the same cancellation and returns rights apply. However, please be aware that return shipping from the Netherlands to the UK is at your expense and may involve customs formalities. We are unable to refund any import duties or taxes paid in the Netherlands. Please contact us to discuss your options before returning an item from the Netherlands.

8. Disputes

We hope to resolve any issue directly and promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may seek further assistance from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk) or escalate through your payment provider's buyer protection scheme.

Refund and cancellation requests Please contact us at contact@store.rememberthexith.org with your order number and we will respond within 2 working days.
